What We Do
Ourhood Community is a curated digital marketplace for premium Black-owned brands, with a unique vision of contemporary life style.
We work with brands to engage with a conscious consumer, using content to tell the story of their products and share their narratives. By partnering with brands that are rich in both style and culture and combining this storytelling with our unique edit of products, we create a compelling selection for our community and empower them to discover new brands.
A percentage of our profits will be donated to black focused charities, aiming to give back to the community, tackle social injustice and create opportunities for those in need.


Why We Do It
Formed in the turbulent summer of 2020, Ourhood was born from a desire to take action to address social injustice and reward talent in the Black community by providing a platform for Black creatives to reach new customers.
We looked into some of the biggest fashion marketplaces around and found that we could see Black trends and aesthetics being used widely. However, when we investigated the hundreds of brands on offer on these sites, we saw that the percentage of Black-owned brand that featured on these sites rarely even went as high as 2%.
Ourhood is committed to being a cause driven business and one of compassion, in keeping with our community values. We look forward to growing alongside our partner brands and we hope that you can join us on the journey.
Who We Are
We are two best friends who have known each other since school. Growing up together navigating the world.
We have gained invaluable experience in our respective careers in Fashion and Advertising that have allowed us to create Ourhood Community and bring together some of the best Black-owned brands from across the globe all under one roof.
